HN Writing for Fun!

A poem is a type of writing that uses rhythm, sound, and often vivid imagery to express emotions, ideas, or tell a story. Poems can be short or long, and they often focus on feelings or experiences in a creative way, using special patterns of words or rhyme. Writing poetry is fun because it allows you to play with language, experiment with sounds, and express yourself in ways that feel personal and unique. It's like painting with words, creating a world of emotions and images in just a few lines!
Delicious Memories

Delicious like... The creamy, chilled ice cream my mom bought on a sticky, humid day, Cool and sweet, it melted away, a summer treat in every way. "Mom, this is perfect!"" I'd say with a grin, As the ice cream dripped and the day would begin.

Delicious like... A steaming cup of hot chocolate, my mom made on a cold, snowy night, Rich and smooth, so warm and bright, each sip was pure delight. "This is just what I needed, Mom," I'd say with a smile, As the warmth spread through me, making everything worth it.

Delicious like... The mild, fragrant Japanese curry my mom made when rain poured down, The savory warmth, it spun me around, as comfort wrapped me like a gown. "This curry is magic," I'd tell her with cheer, As the spices twirled, bringing comfort close by.

Delicious like... The icy cold matcha latte my mom bought after a hot school day, Bitter and fresh, it took away the heat, in a cool, refreshing and sweet way. "You know just what I need, Mom," I'd say with relief, As the matcha soothed me, bringing sweet peace.

Delicious like... The soft, sweet chocolate birthday cake my mom bought for my birthday, Frosting that melted, love and joy in every way. "Happy birthday, Han," she'd say with a hug, As the cake melted in my mouth, wrapped in love.

Delicious like... The chilled, tangy strawberry smoothie my mom made when the sun was shining brightly, Fruity and sweet, it made me cold, under the summer sky. "This is so refreshing, Mom!"" I'd laugh with delight, As the cool smoothie kept me happy and light.

Delicious like... The savory, fragrant fried rice my mom made for breakfast, hot and bright, Every bite felt just right, warm and filling, a perfect start to the morning light. "Just what I needed, thanks, Mom," I'd say with a grin, As the fried rice made the day begin.

Delicious like... The savory soup when I was feeling low, Its warmth and comfort, a steady flow, A healing touch, a heart’s embrace, "Thanks, Mom, this makes me feel better," I'd say, As the soup made everything feel okay.

Delicious like... The things my mom made, full of grace, a taste that time can’t erase, In every dish, I find her embrace, a love that fills every space. “You're the best cook, Mom," I'd whisper proudly, As her love filled the kitchen, a warmth I couldn't hide.
Persona Poem: The Pencil

I am the pencil, Once sharp, once whole, A tool in a child's hand, A keeper of secrets, A whisper of a story untold.

I remember the feel of her fingers, Soft and eager, Tracing dreams into the air, Drawing the world she could not speak, Sketching hopes in each line, each dare.

I am the forgotten fragment of her, The only thing left behind. Her name fades from memory, But I remain, Buried in dust, Carrying what was never said

I am the forgotten fragment of her, The only thing left behind. Her name fades from memory, But I remain, Buried in dust, Carrying what was never said

She was young, Her laughter like music, Her thoughts like rivers- Flowing fast, Racing toward tomorrow, With me in her grasp, Never letting go.

Then one day, She was gone. I waited. I sat, Still and silent, Waiting for the return That never came.

They searched, But I knew the truth, I knew the way her breath once fluttered, Her pulse that once quickened As she wrote her final words with me.

Now I am here, Alone and forgotten, But in the quiet, I still hold her story. I am the keeper of a mystery, A pencil, And a lost girl’s voice.
